Isaiah 61:1-6. The church that no longer seeks the good of the city invites their own death. City transformation begins when one individual pursues the welfare of the city and it spreads to others, the community, and the city reaps the reward!
John 13:34-35. You were not created to exist and operate apart from community. Our God is a communal God, and we are made in His image, we are made to be a communal people.
Matthew 28:18-20. The mission of the church is to make disciples. The mission of disciples is to reproduce and make more disciples. This is the job of all believers.
Hebrews 13:15-16. God is the unique Continuous Outpourer. We are made in His image, therefore we constantly worship and pour ourselves out. Will we worship God or created things?
Romans 1-3. The Gospel is not just our free pass to escape hell and go to amusement-park heaven; it is the power behind every moment of our lives. The believer who mediates in this will live out the gospel!
