Philippians 2:1-11. Looking at the third pledge of our church membership covenant, we see that sacrifice of personal preferences must be laid down for the mission of the church. We can sacrifice by looking at Jesus who ultimately sacrificed all so that we may be reconciled to God.
1 Corinthians 1:10. Our second church member pledge is to commit to being a member of the local church that strives for and defends church unity. We do not drift or arrive at unity, but must work at being unified in our relationships and the mission that God has given The Metro.
