Community Groups @ The Metro

At the Metro we believe that church is more than a service we have every Sunday.  It’s much more than that.  A huge aspect of church is people living life together and helping one another throughout our cities in Northwest Arkansas in order to serve those same cities.  Each week, dozens of people meet in small communities to learn about God, pray, eat, laugh, and live.

We call these Community Groups – and they’re the heart of our church.  Central to our Community Groups are four ideas: Service, Truth, Accountability, and Relationships.

Community Groups at the Metro are the greatest way to impact our cities.  The Sunday service is the church “gathered”, and during the week it is the church “scattered”.  Service projects that are specific to each community reflects love for all of Northwest Arkansas, not just where the Metro is geographically located.  Community Groups at the Metro strive to meet the actual needs of our cities in order to make Jesus famous.

At the Metro we hold Biblical truth as the highest authority.  Community Groups follow either a book study or follow sermon based discussion questions.  This gives each Community Group ample opportunity to apply the Biblical truths presented on Sundays throughout the week.  Each Community Group focuses on Scripture to become more like Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the glory of the Father.

Meeting with others on a weekly basis allows us to see areas of weakness, frustration, and discouragement in each other and ourselves.  Due to this, Community Groups are intentionally an environment of encouragement, prayer, support, and most importantly, love.  In Community Groups we pray together and work hard at creating a culture of gospel-centered love, care, and honesty.

Community Groups at the Metro are a great place to begin building gospel-centered relationships that point each other back to Jesus and His gospel in every aspect of life.
